Terms of Service
Last updated: 18 June 2025
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of Wedding Map (“Wedding Map”, “we”, “us”, “our”) at weddingmap.com.au. By accessing or using the service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
These Terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Queensland.
1. The service
Wedding Map is a free, publicly accessible directory of Australian wedding venues. We aggregate publicly available venue information and publish venue owner submissions to help couples discover and contact venues directly.
Wedding Map is a discovery tool only. We are not a booking platform, agent, or intermediary. We are not a party to any agreement between a couple and a venue. Any bookings, contracts, or payments made between you and a venue are entirely between those parties.
2. Accuracy of information
Venue information on Wedding Map is sourced from publicly available data and voluntary submissions from venue operators. We make no representation or warranty, express or implied, as to the accuracy, completeness, or currency of any information on the platform.
Pricing shown is a benchmark indicator only and does not represent a quote or offer. Actual venue pricing will vary. Always confirm details directly with the venue before making any decisions.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Wedding Map accepts no liability for any loss or damage arising from reliance on information published on the platform.
3. Venue submissions
Your warranties
By submitting a venue, you warrant that:
- You are authorised to represent the venue and submit information on its behalf.
- All information provided is accurate and not misleading.
- You own or have the right to use all photos submitted, and they do not infringe any third party’s intellectual property rights.
- The submission does not contain unlawful, defamatory, or offensive content.
Our rights
By submitting a venue, you grant Wedding Map a perpetual, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to publish, display, reproduce, and distribute the submitted content on the platform and in promotional materials.
We reserve the right to accept, reject, edit, or remove any submission at our sole discretion, without notice and without liability.
4. Prohibited conduct
You must not:
- Submit false, misleading, or fraudulent venue information.
- Use the platform to harass, defame, or harm any person or business.
- Scrape, copy, or systematically download content from the platform without our written permission.
- Attempt to interfere with, disrupt, or gain unauthorised access to the platform or its infrastructure.
- Use the platform in any way that violates applicable Australian law, including the Australian Consumer Law, the Spam Act 2003, or the Copyright Act 1968.
5. Intellectual property
All content on Wedding Map that is not submitted by venue operators (including the site design, branding, copy, and code) is owned by Wedding Map and protected under the Copyright Act 1968 (Cth). You may not reproduce or use it without our written permission.
Venue names, logos, and trademarks remain the property of their respective owners.
6. Third-party links and services
Wedding Map may contain links to external venue websites. We have no control over the content or practices of those sites and accept no responsibility for them. Visiting those sites is at your own risk.
7. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by the Australian Consumer Law and other applicable legislation, Wedding Map’s total liability to you for any claim arising out of or in connection with these Terms or your use of the service is limited to AUD $100.
We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, loss of bookings, or reputational damage.
Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts, or modifies any right or remedy, or any guarantee, warranty, or condition imposed by the Australian Consumer Law that cannot lawfully be excluded.
8. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Wedding Map and its operators from any claims, losses, damages, and expenses (including legal fees) arising from your use of the service, your venue submissions, or your breach of these Terms.
9. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to Wedding Map at any time, without notice, for any reason including breach of these Terms. We may also remove any venue listing at our discretion.
10. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The current version will always be available at weddingmap.com.au/terms. Continued use of the service after changes are published constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
