Originally built in 1860 as the Oakfield Hotel, it was converted into a 30-room summer residence for the Barr Smith family in 1878 by architect John Harry Grainger. The property is currently owned by the Wallis family and serves as an elegant venue for weddings, conferences, and private functions, situated alongside a seven-auditorium cinema complex.
