The Kirra Hill Community and Cultural Centre is a restored historical multipurpose venue located at 1 Garrick Street, Coolangatta, situated on top of the Kirra Headland with coastal and ocean views. Originally established as a school in 1919, the site was restored and opened for public hire in 2011. The venue features flexible indoor and outdoor spaces, including: - The Great Hall, a combination of three rooms (Cook, Flinders, and Oxley) with a capacity for 90 people for weddings and private events.
- A large manicured grassed event space with a capacity for 500 people, suitable for marquees and outdoor ceremonies.
- An art gallery, art activity room, and various meeting rooms with capacities ranging from 6 to 25 people.
- A permanent heritage display room.The facility is fully accessible with lift access to the first floor and includes onsite parking, a kitchen, fridges, toilet facilities, and audio-visual equipment. Wedding packages are available for up to 100 guests and can include three-day venue hire, exclusive use of the centre, cleaning, ceremony styling, and a bespoke celebrant. All bookings must be paid in advance, and hirers are required to attend an induction.
