The Brae Dawesley is a DIY wedding venue located on a 40-acre historic site in the Adelaide Hills, approximately 40 minutes from Adelaide. Originally established as a copper smelter in 1847, the property features heritage stone and cinder block buildings repurposed for events. The venue offers exclusive use over three days for setup and pack down, with a flat hire fee and a dry-hire policy that allows couples to select their own catering and beverages while the venue provides bar service.
Key features and policies include: - Capacity for up to 200 seated guests, 200 for ceremonies, or 250 for standing receptions.
- Indoor spaces such as the Long Barn, featuring exposed wooden beams and concrete flooring, and The Stables, a rustic barn with timber Dutch doors.
